Eart Rights Conference
What idea is powerful enough to heal the relationship between man and nature? In co-arranging the International Earth Rights Conference, the Sigtuna Foundation provides space for dialogue and co-creation about the idea that nature, not just people, has rights. An old idea found with indigenous peoples around the world. Can nature’s rights be the basis for a new culture of respect and harmony between people and nature?
The first Earth Rights Conference, organized at the Sigtuna Foundation in spring 2017, brought together participants from five continents, among them some of the world’s main advocates in the field. A short film about the conference can be seen here.
The second Earth Rights Conferences took place at the Sigtuna Foundation May 10-11 2019. The conference was arranged in cooperation with Lodyn and End Ecocide Sweden. A short film about the conference.
