RISECI, Religion in the Construction of European Cultural Identity, was a project led by the Blanquerna Observatory of Communication, Religion and Culture in Barcelona, Spain. The project ran for 2 years and united 4 European organizations. Apart from the Banquerna Obervatory it also included The University of Edinburgh in UK, the Sigtuna Foundation in Sweden and the Sticna Christianity Museum in Slovenia

The project reflected on the role of religion in the European public space and in the construction of its identity in cultural terms based on the idea that, if Europe wants to explore its religious heritage, it must first recognize its legacy.
